SoundsofShalom.com is an online radio station broadcasting Messianic Jewish and contemporary Jewish music.  This station was birthed out of Steve Galiley's Upstate New York Messianic congregation.  Two of my songs from my CD Silent Spaces Singing are Messianic, and they are featured on the playlist for Soundsof Shalom.com  (See notes for Silent Spaces Singing recording under music)  This station is exciting to me for other reasons...as a worshipper and worship leader, I can tell you that there is something different about Messianic songs...there is a whole feeling of connectedness to Israel, connectedness to the love God has for the Jewish people, and connectedness to revival in the land.  This radio station is being heard literally around the world.  Give a listen and experience something refreshing.

The website features Deborah's two great Bible fiction novels, Polished Arrows and Yohanna, both published by Capstone Fiction. Polished Arrows is the story of the prophetess Devorah, from Judges 4 & 5, and Yohana is the woman mentioned in Luke 8:3 who helped support the ministry of Yeshua (Jesus) by her wealth.  Deborah has drawn on her own experience of being miraculously healed from breast cancer in the writing of this second book. Both books are told from a Messianic Jewish perspective, are encouraging and informative, and just plain fascinating for Jews and Christians alike.  Everyone I know who has read her first book said they couldn't put it down!  Her second book has just been released (January 2008) so look for it at CFO events soon!

Don McAfee has spent countless hours perfecting his craft at the computer...this isn't just computer art, this is painting that happens to use the medium of digital paint.  I have been at his elbow while he created something he just dreamed up and been amazed.  Each day he sets himself a challenge to create something new.  He also has a world of photography that is both abstract and realistic.  Did I mention I got my first camera from him?  And my second....  If you haven't figured it out by now, Don is my birth father.  So I can be his fan, but I can also be impressed.  Go to his site and see if you can find the Cat Person painting that a certain cat lover inspired, or maybe the giraffe painting inspired by my post card from Kenya...have fun!

Macalester Park Publishing is a small publishing house run by my friends Dan, Sue, Jenny Franklin and Sarah Franklin Crose.  They have diligently been reprinting some classic Glenn Clark books, as well as introducing new exciting writing to encourage spiritual growth.  Glenn Clark was the founder of the CFO camps, and in order to understand why they work so well to help people become "Athletes of the Spirit", Glenn's books are a must read.  The first Glenn Clark book I ever read (and still highly recommend) was I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes.  Don't miss his autobiography: A Man's Reach.  Additionally, the Franklins have published Adventures in a Laboratory of Prayer by Rhea Zakich, which is featured in Fred's audio story (click on the Fred flower pot on the front page!)  There are two books which contain some of my writing as well:  The Journey:  Celebrating 75 years of Living Prayer (CFO's anniversary book) and A Field Guide to Practical YouthMinistry.  Thank you, Franklins for keeping these written words alive and out there!  Visit their bookstore at this link.

Ariel's Hope is a site where you can purchase paintings, music and Adoption Ornaments to support the adoption of my new niece from China.  Tom and Sara and their daughter Ariel have come up with this great way of sharing their creative skills in order to bring thei new daughter home.  Ladybugs are the symbol for adoptions, so consider purchasing one of their hand-made ladybug ball ornamentsEach ornament is unique and one-of-a-kind, just like every adopted child.  Ornaments can be customized to "Celebrate Adoption" with dates and names.  Additionally, some of Tom's very cool music, with an eastern flair in many cases, is featured.  I love his Psalms CD. Personally, I applaud them for "using our skills and giftings to help raise funds for our adoption!"

The United Prayer Tower is a year-round, Christ-centered prayer ministry of Camps Farthest Out.  Originally founded in 1942 by Glenn Clark, the UPT exists to: PRAY, call to PRAYER, encourage PRAYER, and provide PRAYER resources for Christians around the world.  The UPT has seen a huge increase in people willing to partner in prayer for needs around the world.  Visit this site for some great resources and for encouragement in prayer.

The Association of Camps Farthest Out (North America) website is a treasure-house of resources.  You can search for a CFO camp or retreat by state or by date, or just scan the schedule and see what's going on!  You'll be amazed at the great variety of CFO experiences out there.  You can also read about the rostered leaders who are attending that event.  (You might see me listed at a camp or two!)  Don't forget to search their list of FAQs and sign up for their really terrific on-line newsletter.  The ACFO site is a great place to find out more about CFO and get yourself ready to attend a retreat.  It's bookmarked on my computer!

The CFOInternational site, like its sister site of ACFO North America, is a great place to find out about where a CFO camp is happening around the world!  It's exciting to see the camps prosper and grow in all regions of the planet.  You can use their schedule as a prayer list, as many of us do, to support our friends across the time zones as they meet for a CFO event.  CFOI also has some terrific CFO resources available for downloading in other languages.  One exciting thing they are planning and praying for is their 10th International CFOI camp in Lima, Peru in 2010.  All regions will be gathered together in prayer and praise united in their common faith in Jesus Christ!

I really like this Bible site!  At Biblegateway.com you can search the whole Bible in any version you want.  Not only that, I counted 46 language translations of The Bible that are on their list.  Exciting!  The site has keyword searches and a topical index search to make any Bible student happy.  I happen to like The Message version, although I am reading it to supplement the more literal tranlsation (my favorite is New American Standard)  Since my first visit to their site, I am finding myself a repeat visitor!  I'm grateful that such a great site is availalbe.
