"Maybe you've not yet tasted your favorite food" (regarding the feast prepared for us in heaven)
This was my first piece of work in many, many, many years. I was sharing with a friend the fact that I used to write poetry back when I was young and unsaved. She encouraged me to start writing again. She gave me a box full of words on small magnetic pieces. [Magnetic Poetry®] Each piece had one word. I could put them together to make phrases. Then the phrases became poems.
"BEAUTIFUL ROSE" became my first poem in what has become a long line of work over the past few years. I found my way back, thanks to God, and the encouragement of that friend, Lisa LaLonde. I was inspired by her heart of worship, the music she created in Christ, and
by her testimony. This piece reflects how God restores things lost and makes them better. This was Lisa's story. This was my story. And now this was the story of my poetry.
