Jesse's Poems
About Jesse
|
|
LONG DAYS NIGHT INTO DAY
Where have you been
This self I am
Wandering aimless
Empty
In wilderness
Across dry desert
Where there is
No water
Over endless oceans
That touch
No land
Swept at every wave
Drowning
Thirsty
Parched
No place
To rest my head
Or soul
No place
To find
Peace
To feed hunger
Of heart and spirit
Forever wandering
Like some ravenous
Wind
That can not stop
Or touch down
Or
Find rest
Dying
Running on empty
Can not lay down
The night.
|
Gazing the moon
Flickering at the stars
Crying up there
To some One
I know not
To finish
This
And hide
From day
Then
In
My own
Dark
Night
Ragged
Dirty
At ropes end
Suspended
Hanging
The edge
Between
Nowhere
And Neverwhere
Facing
The deluge
Gave up- let go
And there
Was
GOD!
